Tiny Villa in the Island of Kea
Located on the east side of Kea island, the project concerns the design of a tiny summer house 65 m2, offering uninterrupted views over the Aegean sea. Particular emphasis was given to the design of the outdoor area that works as the main living space.
The tiny house host two persons or a couple as it provides one master bedroom with a master bathroom, a kitchen, a dining room and an outdoor living room with a fireplace.
The clean-lined building volumes are defined by the Cycladic austerity and geometry that characterizes the traditional stone houses of the Kea. Drawing inspiration from architectural simplicity, the project is the outcome of a natural composition of geometric volumes that serve the functional needs of a luxury home. The vertical, linear frames allow the interior and exterior-outdoor space to communicate and frame the sea views. The interiors follow the concepts of simplicity and harmony too. The color palette, the materials, and the furniture that is selected are characterized by simple design and unpretentious elegance, offering a relaxed and welcoming environment.
